Returns and Cancellations

Items can be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt. Please ensure that you read and comply with the Terms and Conditions for returns at the bottom of this page. If your item(s) were damaged in transit, or if there was an error in shipping, please notify us within 7 days of receipt. For products damaged in transit, please keep all shipping and packaging materials. Please also note that normal wear and tear is not considered a product defect or damage.

Steps for returning item(s):
  1. Contact us by email at info@celticbydesign.com
  2. Print and complete our Returns Form
  3. Enclose the Return Form with the item you are returning
  4. Package the item securely to prevent damage during return shipping
  5. Send the package back to us using a traceable method of shipping (i.e. tracking number or delivery confirmation). Package must be insured for the full value of the contents. Our address is below in bold.
  6. Keep your shipping and insurance receipts.
  7. We will process your return within 5 days of receipt.

Terms and Conditions for returned items

    • All returned items must be received in original condition.
    • If product was damaged or defective, it will be replaced. If a replacement is unavailable, a refund will be issued, including shipping charges.
    • If being returned for another reason, a refund is generally issued provided the item is received in original condition.
    • If a refund is being issued, the purchase price and taxes will be refunded.
    • We do not refund shipping charges unless the item was damaged, defective, or we made an error in your shipment.
    • Personalized items are not refundable.
    • Special-order items, such as Irish jewelry that has a lead time associated with it, is subject to a 20% restocking or 20% order cancellation fee. The restocking fee applies to normal physical returns. The order cancellation fee applies to orders that have been left Ireland for our US warehouse before you cancel your order.
    • We cannot be responsible for, and will not refund, shipping costs in excess of those you paid to have your order shipped to you. We cannot be responsible for your packaging fees.
    • Gift wrapping (if any) is non-refundable.

    The History Of The Claddagh Ring

    The origins of the Claddagh ring are blurred by history. However, the most likely account (and the one that does not involve mythology of any sort) is the story of Richard Joyce. Joyce was a native of Galway and left his home to pursue work overseas in the 17th century. While at sea, his vessel was attacked by pirates, and Joyce was taken as a slave.
